Our FAQ
How do I clean it?
- Start by disassembling all parts. Unscrew the lid, then detach the spout. Slide the straw out from underneath.
- Inside the lid, you’ll find a locking component that fits precisely with the spout to create a secure seal. This piece may require a firm twist and pull to detach.
- Remove the gasket around the locking component, as well as the ring gasket on the spout piece.
- Take off the carry loop before cleaning.
- The locking component, spout, both gaskets, and straw are all dishwasher safe—place them in the utensil basket for best results.
- Hand-wash the bottle base and lid with warm, soapy water (or use a cleaning tablet like Ecobrite if preferred).
Is this bottle dishwasher safe?
To help maintain the original look of your bottle, we suggest washing the lid and base by hand.

Will this keep my drinks cold (or hot)?
Absolutely. The Kuwala Twist Bottle is designed to maintain the temperature of your drinks—hot or cold—for extended periods.
Because it’s highly efficient, please review the safety guidelines below when using hot beverages.
Caution: Hot liquids can cause burns.
The straw draws liquid from the bottom of the bottle, where heat often concentrates. This may result in sudden intake of very hot liquid. Avoid using contents that are hot enough to cause injury.
Using hot, fizzy, or perishable liquids can lead to internal pressure buildup, which may result in leaking or unexpected spray upon opening.
Always open slowly and carefully to release any pressure safely.
What liquids can I use in it?
You can use hot, cold, or carbonated drinks with your bottle—but take a moment to read the safety notes below, especially when using hot or fizzy liquids.
Warning: Hot beverages can cause burns.
The straw pulls liquid from the bottom of the bottle, where temperatures may be higher than at the surface. This can lead to sudden, intense sips. Never fill the bottle with liquid hot enough to cause injury.
Hot, fizzy, or perishable drinks can create internal pressure, which may result in leaks or unexpected spray when opening.
Open slowly and carefully to release any pressure buildup.
